HSP HSP Sarahapnida

Hello Everyone!!
Here is my blog of my daily (weekly) doings. I am here as a Young Earth-Human Leader. Our focus of the trip is to unite everyone (it is called the Hong-Ik philosophy) as Earth Humans. Being an Earth Human means that we are all from Earth, that no matter what nationality or religion we are all from Earth and we need to all work together as one. In Korea Dahn Yoga is very very popular; actors, government officals, etc all go to Dahn Yoga (Dahnhak). There are many facets to the organization. The man who founded this organization is named Dr. Ilchi Lee. Every Saturday and Sunday we will be performing at his Brain Wave Vibration lecture and during the weeks we will be visiting colleges and talking about Brain Education and also performing.

Today is Day 13! A little late in writing. I have so much to say and write about. But here is the quick version. 

It is 1:30 am and we are just getting into ChunAWon, the place where all of the Korean Masters get training. I am so lucky (I tell myself this often). We are getting a training of a lifetime and so many opportunities and energy given to us. I am trying to be present in every moment and take it all in.
Coming into Korea we were warmly greeted by the 6 people who are traveling with us and the camera (that is also always traveling with us :) ) The 3 Masters who travel with us are the most amazingly warm funny people. I am so grateful for them!! So grateful!! For not speaking much English they have the best sense of humor.

So here is my summary...
Day 1 in Korea-
Arrived in Korea at 6ish in the morning. Greeted so warmly! Ate breakfast (of Kimchi and soup) in the airport and headed to the WHO Headquarters (World HongIk Organization) where we greeted 12 floors of people (in our clothes from the plane and not washed hair). It was amazing to see how few people do so much work. Got better at saying my few Korean phrases (My name is.... I am from....). We then headed to lunch, got a nap and had a training with a very senior Master. After the training when headed to practice for our performance with the Dahn Gun B-boys. A camera crew from MBC was there filming our practice and interviewing etc. Then we got to go home (Kukhakwon) and shower. The Kukhakwon is a place where many Masters live, but also a museum about ancient Korea and the study of the Chun Bu Kyung (the Heavenly Code). There are no beds, but heated floors and mats. It is fun, all the girls sleep together.

Day 2 -
Woke up and went to the First National Treasure of Korea (a gate). The gate was burned down a few weeks ago. So we got to perform at the spot for the rebuild. It was our first performance! It was great, so many people stopped to watch (it was in the middle of the city) and there were sooo many news cameras and people taking pictures. We also signed a wall, hung up Korean national flowers and did many interviews. We watched some footage from the news and it was hilarious! (Once I can find the link, I will post it.) But it was moving watching everyone come together within our group and with the Korean people watching. Our Mission of HongIk has begun! After the performance we went to one of the largest markets in Korea - so fun. There were so many booths of clothes, food, food, food, knick knacks. We of course ate there and then headed back home. At home we watched the movie 8 Below (Ilchi Lee asked we watched it for his meeting with us that night) and ate dinner (which we got a standing ovation as we walked in). Once dinner was finished we helped clean for Ilchi Lee's meeting with us. Then we got the biggest privilege to have a private meeting with Ilchi Lee. We performed for him and then he spoke with us about the importance of this mission. AHHH, so amazing and moving!! He spoke about how we can use our brains 2 ways, one we can control with desires and one we can use to make a HongIk mind (one that believes everyone is one, that we widely benefit the world).

Day 3 -
Today we drove to TaeOn on the west coast of South Korea. There was a huge oil spill a few months ago. It devastating for the people who lived on the west coast! It was a very quiet and humble experience. We got all dressed up in white jumpsuits, waiters and gloves (we looked like astronauts) and headed out to the rocky coast. Many of the big rocks had been cleaned so we were searching and digging for small rocks or places that had been overlooked to clean away the oil. It was an interesting experience, they had bags of old clothing we took and wiped of any residue of oil. I used the time as sincerity training, quieting my mind and focusing on how we are all one, so even the smallest rock was important. After lunch on the beach we started working where the tide was coming in. We worked next to a large group of Koreans working. This was very rewarding; there was a lot of oil in this spot so we had many specific rags that cleaned the oil of the top on the water. So we worked as one together to clean. We had a man staying with us all day video taping us, it was interesting having some one there watching your every move and then at any time asking you questions. It definitely helps you stay in the present moment. 
Day 4 –
We started the day taking a tour of Kukhakwon. The history of Korea really interests me, so I really enjoyed the tour. After that we headed out to the archery range. We practiced for about an hour, without shooting. It is a very beautiful practice, connecting all the movements with your breath. Then we got to shoot 3 times (I did well!) Then we did some things for our camera man (he followed us around all day today too). After that we played Sojuko, a game made up by YEHA Korea. There was a group of 11 of us playing. We had so much fun, great to see every talks game no matter what country you are in.  Then we drove (yet again, we are getting very good at 3-4 hour drives) to southern South Korea and stayed in a hotel.

Day 5 –
Today was our first big performance. We are performing at Ilchi Lee’s lecture on Brain Wave Vibration. The whole event is 4 hours. There are many performances before the lecture and then we start the opening ceremonies with the ChunBuShin Gong. There are then some presentations and then the DahnGun B-boys perform (AMAZING!) at the end of their performance we come out and “dance” with them. I walked on my hands across the stage and did a back walkover. The performance felt good, I was not as nervous as I thought. I smiled a lot and felt my heart. Between the b-boys being in our room and us being Americans us had many girls busting into our rehearsal/changing room.  We ate a great dinner of Blowfish and went to Busan where we stayed in a hotel again. But Ashely and I did not get any room, we got the lovers suite!  There was a round bed with a water pad. So funny. Busan was a beautiful city. IT was on the water front, with many buildings all lit up. There was a huge bridge also lit up. It was a boardwalk with many shops, and a small amusement park.

Day 6 –
We woke up and ran and trained on the beach. Then ate breakfast and headed to our second performance. It was a similar routine, but this time after dancing with the B-boys we sand Arirang with them (a famous old time Korea song about awakening your soul). I felt so much during the performance!! After the lecture we got to shake hands with Ilchi Lee and then we headed to dinner. We ate a lot of sea food both cooked and uncooked. It was fun to try many things I have never thought about eating: snails, intestines, some hard thing that popped in your mouth and you drank this juice (that tasted like sea water). I then drove in a separate car with 2 Masters that do not speak great English. We had a lot of fun trying to talk with each other. We then drove to ChunaWon and arrived at 1 am.
